| I take Lexapro and honestly am not sure if it helps me or not. It doesn't hurt me so I continue doing so.. I haven't noticed any extreme dramatic results positive or negative though. |

Im on lexapro as well. However I do not take the 10mg I take 2.5 mg because I am sensitive to meds. Tonight will be my 16th day on it and side effects are still present... Here are some side effects I had:
Insomnia (still have)
Night sweats (I've always had it but it increased)
Slight nausea in the beginning
Diarrhea which turned to constipation
Lightheadedness
Dizziness
Fatigue
Body temp fluctuation
Slight shakiness
More anxiety (I have anxiety and panic disorder as well)
etc
Everyone reacts differently to medication. What may work for some wont for others. It is best to speak to a psychiatrist about this matter so he or she can find the best SSRI to suit your needs. Im still waiting for my side effects to diminish but Im hoping it is all worth it in the end. It takes 4-6 weeks to notice any changes when taking an SSRI (im not there yet so I cant tell you if it has helped)... Feel free to do some research so you can present your psychiatrist with any questions are concerns you may have. |
