This article discusses the merits of talk therapy vs. 'usual' therapy and came up with the notion that talk therapy appears to be better. A difference of 10 people does not seem like a whole lot to compare by, though.

It does state, however, that the depression was significantly less severe in patients receiving talk therapy.
