Since the last news posting abou the 'brain pacemaker', this article has shown up stating the FDA has approved this somewhat controversial device. The findings on the effectiveness of the device are being questioned, but there is a 17-20% rate of 'success' which may be worth it for some.

This is kinda scary to me, having stuff implanted in the chest with wires running up to the brain to administer electric shocks.... plus, the side effects they write about make it seem a little unstable..
