i've never heard of that being prescribed for anxiety.
My brother and sister take it for epilepsy.
Side effects that i recall them talking about are sleepiness, groggy.
My sister gained weight on it and my brother's gums swelled with it. |

| I've never heard of it either, but it seems as though a lot of anti-seizure medications are also used to help with anxiety and mood stabilizers. Klonopin, a well known benzodiazepene is also used as an anti-convulsant. Lamictal, the new medicaiton I'm on for bipolar type II disorder is also used to treat seizures. There seems to be some kind of connection with anti-seizure medicine and mood disorders, and people in the psych field tend to "borrow" anti-seizure medicine a lot to treat mood disorders because it helps. Just some food for thought, sorry I couldnt help more. Try a google search of "anti-convulsants and mood disorders" or "anti-convulsants and anxiety" and see what you come up with. You may be interested in what you find. |
