Hi, I am new here.
Have suffered with anxiety (and bouts of depression) for several years. I respond well to medication but have come here in the hope of finding other ways of dealing with it. |

Hi
i'm kathy, cognitive therapy is a good way, get a good therapist who will try to teach you alternative ways of thinking. drugs are definately not a good idea, they only mask the problem and bring a whole host of problems in themselves.

Hi There,
I am also new here. I've just realized I suffer from anxiety and depression, but for some reason I am still in denial. I think i have something else, like some disease or something that no one has been able to determine. I have been to several doctors and I have been prescribed various drugs from Ativan to Paxil, but have been too afraid to try any of them. I feel like if I take them I will lose more control of myself and end up more sick. Instead, I have been trying to ignore whatever is happening and freak out when things get really bad.
Is all of this normal? |
