Hi everyone,
I too have suffered from terrible anxiety attacks and they had a terrible effect on me. Apart from feeling as though my heart was going to jump out of my chest I also lost control of my bodily functions and spent most of the day in the bathroom. Because of this I also ended up being an agoraphobic because I was afraid to leave my house.
After trying many natural therapies I finally went and saw a different doctor. To cut a long story short I was put onto Zoloft and I haven't had a debilitating attack since. That was 8 years ago! I've tried coming off my meds but I slip back again so I'm quite happy to stay on them.
My doctor told me that I need my meds like a diabetic needs insulin. I'm now living what I'd call a "normal" life, but I still need the support of forums like this to keep me on track. _________________ "You can come out of the fog. Just look for the lighthouse to guide your way" |
