A favorite books and poetry discussion would be interesting if people actually post in this
So I guess I could start by saying what I'm reading right now, and anyone can feel free to add. At the moment, I just finished a book called The Archimedes Codex about the palimpsest, Archimede's Codex C, which had been written over as a prayer book (and perhaps several other things) that has been being studied, imaged, and conserved over the past 10 or so years. Extremely interesting...even if you're not a math geek like me!
I just started Liza of Lambeth, Maugham's first book... I'm on a Maugham kick lately, just like reading 'im. And, as always, I have one or several books of poetry with me... Eliot, Cummings, Pound, Stevens, Rilke, have been a few in the rotation of late.
so...what do you like to read?! Any old favorites? New discoveries? Notable authors? We'll see... _________________ Better than witnessing newborn nebulas in bloom... |
