Researchers from the University of Bristol in Britain have found that low birth weight is linked with adult psychological distress.

The researchers found that children carried full term but weighed less than 5 and a half pounds had a 50% increased risk of psychological dsitress later in their life.

The article later states that early factors, before birth, may be in important increasing a person's vulnerbility to depression in their adult life.
